今天吸取了些教训。

1. 凡是要节俭。还能穿的衣服就穿，不必穿到很时髦。低调就好。

2. 钱是很难赚的。等你出来社会做工赚钱就会知道。

3. 除非钱是你自己赚来的，否则别乱花。

4. 表现真的很重要。一个人表现不佳，自然而然就会被看贬了。

有时候，一个人真的需要接受自己的命运，而不是一而再的抗拒事实。虽然会觉得不服，被骂的理由一半是拿来出气的，可是为了保持和谐，还是忍气吞声比较好。

Tuak

**Introducing Tuak**

p/s: I was drinking beer while writing this post xP

Tuak is a traditional alcoholic beverage for the Ibans/Dayaks in Sarawak.

It is basically a rice wine made of rice, yeast and sugar.

Proudly, I drank tuak once before. It was during last year's Gawai.

I had a friend who was celebrating it and he brought us to his kampung for visiting. Thanks to him that I had the chance to grab a taste of tuak.

-June 2011-

The tuak my friend served that day was mixed with apple juice.

Maybe because of that, I could still handle the taste of it. I remember that I drank up to 4-5 glasses, accepting my friend's challenge. It was funny when I found that I couldn't walk properly to the loo and I even went for three times! That's normal though. But I guess I won't be able to stand the taste of original tuak compared to apple tuak.

Anyway, I might as well say that I enjoyed the taste of tuak. Just like other wines, more or less, it tasted quite bitter with a bit of sweetness and hotness. I could feel the heat down my throat as I swallowed.

A good try for me, indeed. :D

Happy New Year 2012 people!

Well the first thing that came into my mind on this brand new day was

the end of the world.

I'm such a sadist, ain't I? :P

Anyway, I started my first day of 2012 with an apple (before the apple

gets rotten, just so you know).

Then suddenly a character popped up in my head, which was

Ryuk, the Death God in the anime Death Note.

This guy loves apple very much.

Probably Steve Jobs was died in his hand so that he can haz apples

forever in his life wtf.

Everything will change in just a few more months if it is true.

Thinking about it totally freaks me out.

More Coffee = Smaller Breasts

According to my researches in the net, it has been discovered that drinking three cups of coffee a day can make women's breasts shrink. I was very shocked when I first know about this cos I was that addicted to coffee. But then I realized I never drink that much until 3 cups a day so I felt sort of relieved. For those who exceed the amount, it is advisable to cut down your servings per day, if you do not wish to have your breasts getting smaller. However, the good news is caffeine actually REDUCES THE RISK OF BREAST CANCER! How's that sounded like? :) Now, thinking about it, these two negative and positive effects seem to have a connection between them. Smaller breasts and preventing breast cancer. Does that ring a bell to you? :)

From what I see, normally women with breast cancer tend to have big breasts size. I may as well conclude that small breasts women won't get breast cancer that easily compared to women with big breasts. *what a relief* Anyway, my personal preference of coffee is Kapal Api White Coffee (instant). It tastes the best among other coffee brands/types to me, apart from those world famous coffeehouses like Starbucks lah. Let's have a coffee break, shall we? :D

Christmas Eve

Due to the fact that I'm going back hometown on Chinese New Year's eve, I must get ready my CNY clothes before going back. Final exam's coming soon and next week is my study week. In order to focus on my study later, I went to hunt for CNY clothes earlier today.

Despite my target for today's shopping, Christmas mood is deep within me. (:

The beautiful X'mas decorations at the mall. ^__^

Just love the deco so much. Two X'mas trees. A snowman. Reindeers. There's actually a Santa riding on a sleigh behind those deers. Simply gorgeous!

Also, the deco was spinning slowly and steadily. Cool!

There was a booth providing a sensor gaming machine (don't know the correct name) for the visitors around to play for FREE~ These two kids impressed me alot with their dance moves. Cute!

Anyway, I did manage to buy some clothes and heels. Can't wait till CNY~whee~

Sang a few common X'mas songs to start the night. Repeatedly too. Had X'mas cake. Food. Cokes. Snapped pictures. Had a lot of laughs.

This year's Winter Solstice Festival I made Tangyuan by myself for the first time cos I am not at my hometown together with my family.

This was my first try. Made it last night. Used milo powder as coloring since I don't have any other ingredients with me and this was the only method I could think of. It turned out quite okay but the taste was abit weird. Not really suitable to me.

Second try. All white. Woke up at 7am just to make this even though didn't get enough sleep yet. I wanted to share with friends so I made a lot. The taste was just so-so since I didn't use much ingredients. Even the soup was not sweet enough because I was running out of sugar. Duhh.

Packed the fresh-from-hotpot tangyuans into containers and delivered to friends' houses at around 8.30am. The weather was cold and it was really heart-warming to have hot tangyuans as breakfast that time. I'm glad my friends felt the warmth and I felt like being a Santa that morning somehow. Haha.

This was when I was about to go to class after deliveries. Was surprised when I saw this cat sleeping comfortably on the chair surrounded by tons of clothes. I bet it felt cold too and was having its hibernation. Though it had made the clothes dirty I didn't dare to chase it away cos it was such pitiful-looking. I was late to class because of this lol. Stared too long time at it wtf. Not forgetting to take a quick snap of the scene before it finally noticed me peeking at it sleeping. :P

Anyway, Happy DongZhi Festival everyone! :)

Due Date: 21st December 2011

Objectives:

To demonstrate the ability of students to construct a console program that stores the user data in the array(s).
To demonstrate the ability of students to use string functions in a console program.
To demonstrate the ability of students to update the array data in a console program.

Problem Statement(s):

Using an ATM, customers can access their bank accounts in order to credit/debit cash and check their account balances. You have to write a C program to implement a simple ATM for 1000 customers. Initially you have to store the account number (int), password (6-digit int) and balance (float) for each customer using array(s). Then the program asks user to input account number and password. If the customer is valid then he/she would be permitted to credit/debit cash or check the balance. Finally, update the balance after each transaction. Remember that the balance cannot be negative. Also write the code to display user-friendly messages when it is needed. Use at least one array to implement it.

Deliverables:

A bug-freed C console program (source code & exe file).
A flow-chart or pseudocode for the program
Hardcopy Program Code

Penalties:

Any student caught plagiarizing will be penalized. The marks of the assignment will be averaged by the number of students copying the same code.
Any student that submit later than the given due date will only receive 50% of the marks given.
Assignment is to be submitted through Morpheus.

Completeness of Program (2%)
Program able to receive input from user (2%)
Correct implementation of searching/comparison (2%)

Going to meet an ex-schoolmate tomorrow morning. The girl wearing baju kurung in the picture above. It's been almost three years we haven't seen each other and I was really surprised when she suddenly contacted me tonight offering herself to fetch me from my campus to have breakfast together tomorrow morning. How sweet is that. *touched* I guess God has been watching over me cos these days I've been thinking a lot about friendship stuff. I feel that I do not have much true friends. It's always me who look for others. Why is it not they look for me? I feel I am not being appreciated/cared by others. Maybe I am the one who treats people like that first so people also treat me like this. But I don't think I care less about those whom I really want to befriend. How unfair. *sigh* Anyway I look forward to meeting this bestie of mine tomorrow. There's so much to catch up between us. Thanks for showing me the light when I am in the shadow dear Lord. I feel better now. :)

What do you enjoy most?

I would say I enjoy strolling at night the most.

Cos I love gazing at the shining stars in the sky.

Homesick

Was scanning through some old photos this evening when I stumbled upon a picture of my mother.

Within seconds, tears started to fill up the corner of my eyes and naturally I cried. I used to tell people around me that I'm not the kind of homesick person. But now I can deny no more.

I miss my home.

I guess maybe life has been too tough for me to survive here. I'm still wandering around and not struggling hard for future. It's such a shame for a 20-year-old to be that immature and unable to cope with the surrounding. I feel so sorry for not living my life the way I should be and always have to make my mother worry about me. Really feel bad about that.

Anyway, there's a week of holidays coming soon and I'm going back to my hometown Bintulu this Friday night. Can't wait for it.

I wonder how are you doing Mother...

Weight Gaining

Most people wish to slim down to own a model-like skinny bod but I wish for the opposite.

The truth is I am actually in the process of gaining weight.

Surprised? LOL

Or maybe weird? :P

Well I do not see skinny as in well-defined body shape. That is neither hot nor healthy at all.

I prefer being fleshy rather than being a skeleton.

Overweight is different story though.

Fyi, I'm in the underweight category so I'm targeting for a fit.

Fit is just nice. Most importantly, healthy.

超久没更新博格咯～不是我没时间，是我懒，不知道要更新些什么。

今晚我睡不着，刚好有瓶啤酒在身，虽然没冰块，可是为了让自己爱睡就不管那么多喝下去了。

其实我不是很会喝酒的人。酒很难喝，可是我照样喝。喝酒伤身啊～比抽烟来得严重。所以我不敢喝太多。通常都是借酒消愁啦。没事情约我喝酒的话我不奉陪。喝不下。

我现在人在大学宿舍，所以喝酒是犯法的。偷偷喝罢了。现在就读着Computer Science科系，不知道中文叫什么，电脑科学？唔...读到现在（第一年第二学期），成绩不怎么理想，可是还算过得去啦。说实话，我不怎么喜欢科技，也不晓得一开始为什么会选这一科来深造。可能是以为这科容易读吧，读了之后才知道原来不简单。尤其是programming。我最不擅长的科目。

唉～不知道我在这里撑不撑得下去啊....

Recently I've been hearing a lot about marriage/coupling thingy from uncles and aunties surrounding specifically my mom and her friends. From what they said, they will NEVER agree on marriage between different races. They think it's a disgrace for our own kind. There has been a lot of cases that Chinese marrying a non-Chinese (no matter he/she is a Malay/Bumiputra/Indian) and all of those Chinese are being looked down by their own race. Though not all but most Chinese feel that way. Especially the elderly.

So I am being advised (maybe 'warned' more accurately) not to find a boyfriend that is not a Chinese. I don't know I should laugh or cry. Laugh cos I think it's kind of funny. Cry cos I somehow disagree with their perceptions. But not 100%. I still agree on some points. Half-half perhaps? I do have a lot of friends who are mixed-race and they seem fine to me. I mean their families are still living in harmony like normal families. No fightings/divorces due to cultural differences. And most of them are very intelligent/pretty/handsome. Envy them much. So I think marriage between different races is not a bad thing after all.

But sadly most Chinese can't bear to marry a non-Chinese. Not to say we are racists. We still befriend lots of Malays/Bumiputras/Indians. It's just that Chinese care too much about one's reputation. We care a lot about how people look at us. 爱面子. I guess that's the main reason.

Anyway this topic reminds me of Peter Chao lol.

Sneak Peek of Places I Stayed/Stay

Yesterday morning I'm back to my hometown already. The town of bubuk. A kind of tiny little shrimps that's being used to make belacan (shrimp paste) in which Bintulu town is very famous of. People use belacan to make a variety of dishes and as for me I love to use it to make sambal. Yummy!

This was the room that I had been staying during intersem for around 3 months before I came back. It was a double room but I didn't have a roommate.

This was how the room looked like after I packed everything up and checked out. Looked so empty.

The balcony. The place where I used to play guitar besides drying my clothes.

The dining table. With lots of love and hatred. Love came from the moments I had my lunch/dinner with housemates + gossiping. And hatred came from the ants that appeared so goddamn fast whenever the food was served.

Took a last picture before leaving. The mirror that I used to brush teeth, wash face, etc.

Lockers? Yes. Lockers. This was what I saw when I was leaving. The workers were bringing them in to the hostel. I believe they are for the new intake students. Single rooms become double rooms now. Next semester is going to be a lot crowded. Hate it.

This kind of lockers reminds me of the one I used during National Service. Wtf.

End of hostel story.

Coming back home, I saw my desk is still in the same condition like the last time I saw it. All are old stuffs though.

What stunned me was that my guitar was being kept at such a high place. Duh. An accident happened during the time I asked my dad to take it down for me. I felt terrible cos it was my fault that my dad was injured by the swinging fan that I forgot to turn off. Thank God it was just bruises and no broken bones/phalanges. But I still feel bad about it. It felt like final destination somehow. Accidents happen anywhere anytime. So we must be careful at any circumstances. Amen.

Last picture of this post. I've reduced weight! Oh shit. It was 43kg the last time I measured. I hate to be skinny. But it's hard for me to gain weight. I was born like that. Hurmp. Btw if you guys notice, my feet's skin tone is uneven. It's sunburn actually. I used to wear slippers to classes and the Sun rays damaged my skin. Feet's skin only cos I wear long jeans. It has been like that for months and I don't know how to return my skin tone back to normal. So ugly.

Guitar Gadgets Collection

On July 15th 2011, I've finally bought myself a capo. I've been longing to own one of this guitar gadget and now it's in my hand...feel so good~oh yeah~

Btw I've also bought a guitar tuner. Cos it's always hard for me to tune the guitar manually. I never get the correct tune. So I guess having a guitar tuner would be a great help to me. =]

Maybe you'd think it's quite expensive. But to me it's worth it cos I never need to tune my guitar manually anymore. The method of tuning is very simple too. Each string has its own number/chord. Just tune the strings until you get a green light as shown in the picture above. It's showing the third string/G chord btw. Seems fun? Get to try it yourself then you'll know. Hehe. One more thing, it can be used to tune bass guitar too. Cool rite? xD

My Dream Car

My dream car is a CARAVAN !!!

Know why? Cos I am terrible in directions. And I don't dare to drive even though I have my driving license. Such a loser rite? So if I have a caravan, I do not need to worry much when I get lost cos I can just overnight in the caravan~ peace! xD

Another reason is that I have a dream of becoming a street performer. But not as my main stream. Just as a secondary work. So my dream is actually travelling around the world in a caravan and stopping by at any beautiful places to start a street performance. Sounds wonderful ain't it? But I think it's impossible for me to achieve it. Anyway, it's always good to have dreams. As a goal to chase in life. =]

Btw my elder sis also wishes to own a caravan in the future. So Imma saving money starting from now in order to get one later. However it's very rare to see caravans here in Malaysia. Maybe it's not suitable to be driven on our lane. Crime is one factor too. Quite dangerous actually.

Anyway I still hope someday I could own a caravan and travel happily with my family and friends. Overseas probably. Also, I hope that having a caravan will be a popular trend in the future. Don't you think it's cool plus adventurous to drive a caravan? To me hell yeah!!

My First Nuffnang Cheque

So far, I've seen a lot of nuffnangers posted about getting their Nuffnang cheques and I always feel jealous of them.

But now, it's my turn~wheeee

This morning I've received my first ever Nuffnang cheque.

I didn't get to see it by myself though.

Cos I am not at my hometown now and the cheque was sent to my home in Bintulu.

So it was my sister who helped me to open the envelope instead. That should be me(Justin Bieber's song). Huhu.

Then I asked her to take a picture of the cheque for me so that I can blog about it.

So here it is.

Actually I wanted to wait until I earn around RM500 then just cash out.

But then I scare I would never get my earnings if I wait for too long cos who knows something might happen to Nuffnang company someday in future?

So I think we better cash out once we can. It's safer that way.

Anyway, this is the amount that I've earned for a year.

I started joining Nuffnang since 12 June 2010 and on 26 June 2011 I cashed out.

That's two weeks more than a year actually.

Quite sad rite?

To earn such small amount in such a long time...

But in that one year I didn't really blog continuously.

There were 3-4 months I did not update my blog cos I was busy with uni life.

So the amount was not exactly earned in a year but less than that. Hehe.

Thanks Nuffnang for everything and I hope Nuffnang will continue to progress so that I can earn more in future!

Tell you the truth, I am so lazy to update my blog nowadays. I got tons of things in my mind that I would love to share it here but my laziness kept me from doing so. Pardon me kay. =P

This picture above was taken last night (with my mouth full) at Station One Kuching. It was my first time paying there a visit. I have been longing to go there but only last night I got the opportunity. Thanks to a new friend that I've just met, Justin, for bringing me and my friend out. =]

Talking about him, there's a story behind how did we know each other. According to him, he stumbled upon my blog one day when he googled about blue roses stuff. Out of curiosity he searched for my name in facebook and saw the same picture I was using for my blogger profile. So he pm-ed me to check whether am I the owner of the blog. When I saw his message I was a bit surprised but without hesitation I replied him that I am the blogger. He added me in fb after that. That was the time when his appearance amazed me. Why? Because from his profile I realized that we actually go to the same university!! How coincidence was that? xD Though we are from different faculty. But still, it was way too coincidence for me. The Earth is small indeed. ^~^

Then we started to chat in fb. Not that much but sometimes. Well I can't reveal too much about him cos he's quite a low profile person. Anyway, last night was our first meeting and it was me who suggested the place to dine. I felt quite sorry for him cos he didn't really enjoy the atmosphere of the place. The lighting all. But it's not just him. Actually I felt a bit headache after dined due to the noisiness coming from people's loud voices all around. I couldn't really enjoy the performances so I went back earlier than I expected. The performances were good though. *thumbs up*

I guess the next time I go there I will just have a drink and have fun watching the performances. Peace.

No matter how hard I tried, how many takes I've recorded (again and again), I still ain't getting any better. So I guess there's no point in continue trying if I'm not improving. Just wasting my time. And I think this is the best I could make. I'm not sure whether the guitar was out of tune or not but my voice was indeed out of tune. Such a terrible singing. A 'fragile' voice. If you know what I mean. Damn sad.

Bersih 2.0 - A Day to Remember!

Everyone's talking about Bersih now. Even my lecturer also mentioned about it few days ago. Warned us not to involve in Bersih. Actually I didn't really know what is it until my lecturer told us about it. Never really care about politics. (I do support Namewee though =P)

Despite the fact that I have no interest in politics, I spent the whole morning reading/watching news online about Bersih 2.0. Seriously I was touched by the unity and bravery of those protestors of different races. This is what we call "1 Malaysia". They came out in peace but then were being attacked by the police with tear gas and chemical laced water. How cruel was that! Pity them~ T.T

Went to Ranchan Recreational Park the other day. Wednesday to be exact. Right after Data Comm mid-term exam. Hiak2. We rented a car from 11am until 11pm (half day) for RM50. Quite worth it. Was satisfied. ^~^

Actually I have been coughing for weeks and it doesn't seem to get any better. Worser I suppose. But still, I went to the waterfall to play with water. I was not being stubborn or anything but it was because of the fact that I couldn't stand to see the disappointment look on my friends' faces when I said I'm not getting into the water. So yeah that's the reason I got into the water lastly.

Btw it was a sad case that two male friends of us couldn't join the trip just for the reason that both Liana's and Ejin's boyfriends don't allow any guys following. How ridiculous is that? I mean it is very unfair. I think girls have the right to befriend other guys even though they have boyf already. Men these days are really possessive.

Anyway honestly I am kind of lazy to describe our journey so...let us just go through the pichas! And I believe most of you won't read what I write either if my post is essay-like right? Gotcha!

Today I'm officially 20.

26 June 1991. My birth date.

This year is a bit special 'cause there was no celebration for me. Pity me.

Well yeah I can't deny that I am quite sad due to this reason. However, someone told me that "能够平安度过生日也是一种幸福啊", making me think the other way round. Thanks to him that I can open up my mind and not feeling down anymore. ^-^

Despite my birthday, there's something more important coming soon.

Next Wednesday I will be having my Data Comm mid-term exam and the day before that I will also be having my Japanese Language test 2 (Character Recognition). Woahhhh so scary man.

Btw I was having a severe bellyache throughout the night. Making me couldn't concentrate in my revision. So I did not finish even a chapter. Oh well.

It's quite effective from what she said.

Double Encounter with a Reptile

Date: 1 April 2011 (April Fool)

Time: 11.45pm

Venue: Paths along Kuching Waterfront

Details: It happened that I was walking along the path near the water and then suddenly I felt something cold and slippery on my toes. I looked down and saw a snake sliding past my feet!! I jumped instantly and yelled "Snake!!!". Then all my friends turned to me in shock. It was dark so I couldn't see the snake clearly. I believe it was a water snake cos it's near the lake. It's around one and a half meters long and has a brownish skin. Luckily it didn't bite me but just slide past my feet. Huh.

Encounter #2

Date: 27 May 2011

Time: 10.13am

Venue: Paths towards Unimas West Gate

Details: I was heading towards the gate on my way to Desa Ilmu when suddenly I saw something around my feet coming out from nowhere. I thought it was a twig or something. But to my surprise it was a snake!! I shrieked while jumping to one side, followed by my friend's scream. The reptile was super fast. In just a blink of an eye it slided pass from behind me to the front and vanished in the bushes. But that was enough to scare the hell out of me. It was almost the same size with my first encounter but darker in its brownish skin. And fyi, I just dreamt about being chased by a snake that morning. What a coincidence. Duh.

Btw, why on Earth do I get to encounter with snakes so easily? Feel like I have an affinity for this creature. Luckily I didn't get bitten for both of the time.

Hard To Sleep #2

Still remember an old post of mine about me having a hard time to sleep? Well here's a part 2. But this time it isn't about banana trees. It is something else. Something horrible enough to make me depressed for a couple of days. Here's how the story goes...

Have you ever watched a movie...uh no, a documentary, more precisely, entitled "The Music Industry Exposed"? It has been broadcast a year ago. But I just watched it last week. And that's the reason of my depression.

From the title itself, I believe you can have a rough guess about what does this documentary reviewing about. But I think not many of you would guess it right. If you haven't watched it you would never understand why was I in such a state of depression after watching it. Maybe you would think I was too sensitive or I took this matter too seriously but I couldn't help it. I had a real shock when I first started to watch the documentary. Cos I never expect what I saw.

I don't really want to talk about the details cos I don't want to make myself depressed even more. Anyway, briefly, I would say it reviews about the involvement of Illuminati in the music industry. Especially Hollywood. According to Wikipedia, Illuminati is a name given to several groups, both historical and modern, and both real and fictitious. But in modern times and also in this documentary, this term actually refers to an organization which acts as a shadowy "power behind the throne", controlling world affairs through present day governments and corporations, the masterminds behind events that will lead to the establishment of a New World Order. If you ever notice some popular songs, there're always these similar words in the song lyrics such as New World Order, Rain Man...etc. Actually all these words have their specific meanings inside the songs. I never know what does a Rain Man means until I watched this doc. It actually means the devil. The Satan. I bet you must be thinking what does it got to do with the songs. Have you ever wonder why all these songs kept repeating the same lyrics?

Tell you the truth, it is because those singers are singing these words for Satan. They have sold their souls to the devil in order to become famous/rich. In other words, for FAME/MONEY. In exchange, they need to embrace the devil in any way they can. This includes song lyrics, music videos, concerts, etc. That is why we often see screenshots like money falling, black-and-white checkers, goat's head/horn, pyramid and so on in some music videos. In fact, those are the symbols/signs of satanism and it proves the worship of Satan in those artists. Hard to believe, eh? There are more examples in the doc that explains further in details which I do not feel like writing them down here. Cos I'm trying not to think too much about it. So if you are curious and want to know more, please do not hesitate to watch this documentary. I bet it'd scare the hell out of ya.

Anyway, I still remember the night when I woke up at around 2am all of a sudden. Cos I felt I was sweating all over during my sleep. Cold sweat I suppose. I knew the trauma after watching the documentary still hasn't gotten out of me so I got up instead of forcing myself to sleep back. I felt scared and went to find my housemates to accompany me but of course, they slept already. I got no choice but to turn on the laptop and find anyone who's still online to chat with. I needed to tell someone how I felt. It's not good to keep things by myself. I gotta release the pressure. So I found this friend in facebook and started to chat with him. Just the moment I wanted to express my thoughts, I started to cry. Naturally. Oh gosh. It's been a long time since I last cried. I felt hopeless and didn't know what else to believe. This world has corrupted and everyone's following the devil's order. Darkness has come. The end of the world will be coming soon. My heart sank and all I knew was I was weeping on my bed in silence...

But luckily, I'm getting over it slowly now. So no worries. I believe in miracles. I believe in God. I promise I'll be strong and stay positive. I will survive.

There was some technical errors during my performance.

It happened that the microphone was so loose that it kept falling down little by little, making it further and further away from my mouth and so my voice sounded softer and softer, ruining my performance. I couldn't give out my hand to hold the mic since both of my hands were busy playing the guitar.

Had my first time, then here's a second time. Tonight I will be performing on stage again. And this time it's different from the last time. This time it's inter-college. More challenging. Actually I don't know whether I should go for it or not. Cos I know I'm not good enough and I don't know how does the audience think about me. I hope they won't think bad about me. But that's the reality. The consequences that I must bear if I want to perform in front of people. I just love to perform. Maybe because I'm not that talkative in life so I'm expressing my thoughts through performing. Once I saw a quote that goes like this: Musicians are lonely people. I think it's quite true. But not 100% true. Cos I realized some musicians are really shy. That's the reason they sing. Singing is their way of expressing feelings. Maybe I'm one of them. But as far as I concern, I can never be a singer cos I sing badly. Maybe I'm just not that lucky like YUI. Haha. Think I should just stick with my second preference - a professional animator.

To save money, I used bus to go back uni instead of booking flight this time. It was an 11-hour ride, starting from 6pm and arriving at 5am. Throughout the journey, I tried to sleep but my mind just wouldn't stop thinking about the incomplete assignments and the coming mid-semester exam. How I regretted for wasting my time in watching a Hong Kong series "义海豪情" during the holidays. Damn. Anyway, what I want to stress on in this post is that I was so stupid for directly asking a waiting taxi to send me back to my uni once I reached Kuching bus station. He charged me RMXX per person!! Damn expensive wei. I should have called up Pak Cik Hapdin as he said he only charges RM15 per person. Arghhhh. I would rather use the plane if I knew this would happen. But I could do nothing. There's no other human being around us at that time (it's 5am in the morning) and if I resist to pay such amount of money to the taxi driver, who knows what would have happen to me? I really can't imagine. So right here right now I swear, there will never ever be the same incident happen again. Amen.

Been so long not updating my blog and now I'm back. Just another quick update though. Kinda lazy to blog nowadays.

Well I'm back in my hometown yesterday morning. Skipping morning lectures and afternoon lab slot + tutorials. I guess I was the only student who's absent yesterday. =P

To say the truth, I don't really like the feeling of being at home. Seriously. I feel better when I'm living in hostel. I prefer being with my friends/being alone more than being with my family. It feels strange at home and everyone feels like strangers to me. What is happening to me? o.o

Counting the days, it's been a month since the first day I stepped into Unimas. Before coming back home for CNY, there's so much that had happened there in a month's time. Made new friends, packed classes (I was so fed up with the clashed classes/tutorials/lab slots. It took weeks to make a fix timetable. All because of repeaters' sake. Oh well.), tests/quizzes, college's activities and apart from all that...a roommate who also plays the guitar! xD

Btw, I've joined this little college's activity named Sakura's Got Talent. It was a good experience. My first time ever performing on stage. I took part in the individual category as I wanted to try singing solo while playing the guitar. Hundreds of people watched me perform that night and I felt like I was having a concert of my own. Besides that, I never expect the crowd would cheer so loud for me. I was like "OMG...wow". So I sang as hard as I could without giving a damn about my sore throat. Although I didn't win I was happy enough for having the guts to go up stage to perform. To me, everyone was a winner that night. =)

Now, coming back home, it's time for Chinese New Year celebration. However, everything that had happened in the uni is still fresh in my memory. I have only one week of holiday. Though it's new year but there's lots of assignments to be done and handed in after the holiday. So I guess I won't have much fun here. =/

Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year to everyone who's celebrating it and have fun!

I had been busying with orientation week and have not been onlining/facebook-ing/blogging until tonight. It's been 6 days I suppose. Fuhh~ Finally...it's all over now and I am officially a mahasiswi(the Malay term for a female university student) starting from today! =D

Fyi, I am currently pursuing my degree in a lovely local university called UNIMAS(Universiti Malaysia Sarawak) in Kuching. I'm taking Multimedia Computing as my major in Computer Science. It was exhausting yet exciting during this orientation week. I needed to get up at 5am and could only get to sleep at around 1am every day. It's a bit like National Service. Cos we were having 6 meals per day just like NS lol. That's too much for me actually. =P What attracted me much during this whole week are the Sidang Pleno (Malay Public Speaking) and Public Speaking sessions. It was fun having to listen to the speakers giving their talks on stage though it was ice-cold during the time in the hall. After that there's this Cheers session, in which every college was asked to create a cheer/slogan of our own and see which college has the best cheer of all. Unfortunately, my college (Sakura College) was not the best but I could see everyone from other colleges was enjoying our cheer. That's more than enough to me. =)

Another thing that attracted me is that there are some foreigners from Turkey, China, Canada and Indonesia coming all the way here to pursue their study. I never thought I would ever see foreigners in local universities cos I always thought they would only appear in private's. So that really amazed me. And what even lightens me up is that one of them (a guy from China) is doing the same major as me! So I will have a foreigner as my classmate~ That's just so cool. xD

However, I was quite upset for having the need to take up Preparatory English class (not compulsory subject) cos I got a Band 3 for MUET(Malaysian University English Test). Getting an A1 for GCE 'O' Level(The General Certificate of Education in the United Kingdom), I've always had high hopes in English language. So the MUET result was totally disappointed me. =/ Anyway, thinking at the bright side, it's good for me to take it up too. As that would improve my English better. =)

One more thing, I'm happy to know that the Dean of my faculty is an Indian. That's only because I enjoy listening to people speaking in English better than Malay. Not to say I'm racist but most Malay lecturers teach in Malay during lectures and I do not prefer that. It kind of lowers the standard to me.

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!! 2010 has finally come to an end. So I'm wishing you guys all the best in 2011 and have a good night. ^ ^

If you're Sarawakian or if you ever visit Sarawak, you'll surely get to see this kind of cute fatty worm selling at the wet market in any places. It is known as sago worm or grub, a famous delicacy in Sarawak. It is believed to contain 3-7% of protein, 10-30% fat and the rest is water. Just like the worm in fruits, it is safe to be eaten, either raw or cooked.

I've tried this ulat mulong for my first time yesterday.

We didn't dare to eat it raw so we fried it.

I bought a duckling couple from the wet market today as a birthday gift for my little sister. We used up lots of time and energy to build a secure cage for our new pets this evening. It's our job to protect them from the predators(cats). Street cats were coming like mad when they heard our ducklings' chuckles. I was pissed off and threw a bucket of water at them. Splash!!! WAHAHAHAHAHA

Of all the animals, I hate cats the most. This is all because there was once a cat from nowhere 'shit' on my lovely flowerpot. Imagine that...gross!! But what's even gross is that I touched it!!! O.O Ewwww...cos I thought it was soil!! I will never forget the moment my fingers on it. Disgusting!!! Thinking back makes me feel like vomiting. Urghhhh...orz. Since then I love to scare off cats whenever I see one. And that's how the story goes...~.~

Back to our ducklings. Well I have nothing more to say about them except they're soooo CUTE!! LOL. oh ya, they enjoy swimming. I can stare at them for few hours just to watch them swimming. Their cuteness can really melt my heart~ ^ ^

I have been thinking to modify my guitar a long time ago. Cos I hate the way it looks originally.

And finally I've made it today. Yay~

With the help of my little sister though. She just came back from Moral paper(SPM) this morning and saw me in the process of 'modifying'. Then she felt like join in the fun too.

So together, we modified my guitar. We only used less than half an hour to finish it.

-my newly-designed guitar-

The table behind is where my sis used to study. Messy table. But it's okay as long as she gets good grades in exam. I used to tidy up for her cos she's far better than I am. =P

-the design: black ring + white wing-

The black ring is my idea while her idea is the white wing.

I think the design won't be perfect without her idea. Thanks to her very much.

Anyway I hope she can achieve her target in SPM.

Last night I was hoping to play badminton at a "free" badminton court in Hokkien Association Hall. Well the court is opened every Friday night for Hokkien Association members to play for free. It's been a long time I didn't practise my skill so I decided to go for it.

However when I reached there, I was surprised to see what's going on.

The court was full of books!! O.O

Then I realised...it must have been rented by some business people to open a book fair. Ahhhh~ it ruined my plan~ T.T So I ended up reading books instead of playing badminton. =/

I was in depressed mood when suddenly something caught my eyes...

It was 九把刀Giddens book!! OMG

-楼下的房客-

I've been in love with Giddens' style of writing ever since I first read one of his books back in college. It was my roommate who recommended me to read it. She is a big fan of him. Thanks to her for lending me the book. ^ ^ Then I remembered she told me 楼下的房客(Apartments For Rent) is very nice. Can say it's epic lol.

And now the book was in front of me. Opened up an opportunity for me to buy it. But I didn't. Cos I think the price was quite expensive. I remembered my roommate bought it at RM10 only and this one costs RM20. That's doubled the price. So it's not worth for me to buy even though I really wish to own it. Then I told myself that I can always read it online. But reading online is different than reading the book itself. Reading the book always feels better. But I still made up my mind not to waste my money in this and I believe I won't regret it. =)

Although I didn't have the book, I got myself a new pair of Adidas sport shoes last night. Whee~ Guess what? I only bought it at a price of RM29.90!! It's damn cheap for the brand rite? Hahaha. Well I don't know why it's that cheap. Maybe it's a fake one, who knows? =P But it's very comfortable to wear and I am damn satisfied. xD

my thoughts for today

These days my mom had been telling me that she feels dizzy all the time. And today I accompanied her to see the doctor at a clinic nearby. The doctor said she's fine. Only that her blood pressure is low and she's advised to take blood test for details. She will only have it tomorrow as she needs to puasa(fast) before that. I'm not sure what can I do to make her feel better so I googled about it. It says massaging at the back of the neck and feet helps. So I tried my best. Only at this moment I noticed the white hair and wrinkles my mom has. Suddenly one of Jay Chou's songs, 听妈妈的话(Listen To Your Mother) popped out in my head. The lyrics goes like 美丽的白发...which means beautiful white hair. My mom has grown old. She's no longer the young mother that has been taking care of me since I was born. Thanks to her that I am able to grow up happily and healthily. Now it's time for me to take care of her. But I think I'm not ready yet. After all, I don't have the ability to earn stable income since I've not yet stepped into the working field. Sometimes I would complain to her that why did she marry so late. Well she's 56 now and I'm only 19. I'm not the eldest though. My big sis is 22 but that doesn't mean she can support the family. Maybe I'm being rude to my mom but hey, for a woman to marry a man at the age of 30+ is way too old to me. But in any ways, I'm still grateful to my mom for giving birth to me and taking care of me for all these years. Without you, I am nobody. So what I hope now is faster start my degree and graduate and start working. That's why I keep complaining about why Multimedia Computing course needs 4 years time to graduate. Should be 3 years enough ady eh...~.~ btw I haven't book my flight ticket to Kuching yet this coming 26 Dec...apuuuu...you must be wondering why.

I was so shocked that my mind went blank. The world was spinning for a moment before I managed to get myself back to reality.

I was a cheater. And I use the word "was" cos I've learnt my lesson. But I never thought it would hurt others' feelings so much that it hurts mine too. Really, it hurts more than I thought it would. It felt just like someone had stabbed a blade on me. Right through my heart.

A Chinese proverb goes like this, “敢做敢当” which means dare to do, fear not to lose.

It's a nice experience whereby I was asked to take off my clothes (including bra O.O) and wear a big white cloth.

Of course not in front of the radiographer. LOL

Then I was asked to stand in front of a machine and after a few seconds it's done.

Damn fast!
